Khabib Nurmagomedov provides Tony Ferguson $200,000 to fight him So far in 2017, a few high-profile UFC fighters appear to be taking it into their own hands — and mouths — to try to make some blockbuster matchups happen even if the organization has to approve them. Nothing has been officially planned out beyond March of the past year, with new ownership staying quiet about strategies for title conflicts and other blockbuster bouts so far. But on Monday, No. 1 lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov (24-0) took to Twitter to let No. 2 contender Tony Ferguson (22-3) know that he is ready to put up $200,000 of his own money to create a struggle between them occur since the UFC hasn’t done it to them…Ferguson had demanded equal pay to take on Nurmagomedov despite signing a new deal with the UFC that allegedly prevents that from making the same. UFC president Dana White said the struggle would not occur for that reason even though the public is demanding it. The suggested bout is for the interim lightweight title with all present champion Conor McGregor (21-3) out of action for another 10 months to concentrate on the birth of his child. Tyron Woodley and michael Bisping agree to 180-pound catchweight bout? Yes, current UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping (30-7) and welterweight champ Tyron Woodley (16-3-1) were seen verbally agreeing to a superfight of varieties in a catchweight of 180 pounds backstage during UFC 207 past Friday at Las Vegas. Both fighters are coming off name defenses in the end of 2016 and right now don’t have new competitions. Bisping posted the movie under on his Instagram account to show the world that he means business. There is a current opening for a main event at UFC Fight Night 108 in the O2 Arena in London on March 18th, with Bisping hinting at the as a possible date.
